Do I need to integrate PGYER SDK if I just want to release the App for users to install?

No need. If developers want to update their App integration version, we recommend that you use PGYER's API directly to do so. PGYER's SDK is currently out of maintenance and is not recommended for developers to use.

How many times can I download and install an application uploaded on PGYER platform? How long can I keep it?

After the developer uploaded the App to the PGYER platform, the default status of the App is beta mode, the number of app downloads in the beta mode will be limited, the specific number of restrictions, please login to the PGYER platform, and then view the relevant tips in the Application management page. If the developer wants the App to get more downloads, he can apply to become the distribution mode on the Application Management page, and the App in the distribution mode can have a larger number of downloads.

How can I make my application accessible only to designated people?

To achieve the access of designated personnel, the following methods can be used:

  1. If the person to be specified is not sure or does not want others to see the information of the application, you can set the installation mode of the application to password installation in the App Settings of the application; After the password is set, users will be asked to enter the password before installing the application.
  2. If the specified person is only the developer of the application, you can select the installation mode of the application as invited installation in the App Settings of the application. After the setting, only the developers in the project members can install the application (excluding test users).
  3. In addition, PGYER also provides authorization code installation, question answer installation and other ways for developers to choose according to their own circumstances

How do I generate and view app test short links?

After the upload application, the system will automatically generate a random 6 characters short address, the address format for: https://www.pgyer.com/XXXXXX, among them, the XXXXXX for random combination of upper and lower case alphanumeric. In addition, developers can also manually specify the short address in the Settings page of the application.

Is the same address for different versions of the same application?

For the same application, the short address always points to the latest version, while for other versions there is a fixed and independent full link.

Why do I display an application download failure message?

When the download fails, please check:

  1. Whether the current network is available.
  2. Whether the memory of the phone is enough;
  3. Download.apk application (such as QQ browser, etc.) whether to obtain read and write permissions;

Why an installation failure message is displayed when I download an Android app?

When the installation failure message is displayed, pay attention to check:

  1. Whether the same App with different signatures has been installed on the same mobile phone. If yes, please delete the original app and reinstall it.
  2. When installing the application, if the mobile phone prompts "cannot install the application from unknown sources", then just enter the Settings function of the mobile phone and open the application installation function of "unknown sources".

Why does the message "Application cannot be downloaded" appear in the middle of iOS app installation?

There are many reasons why you can't download, but the most common reasons are the following 3:

  1. The certificate used to sign the iOS App is invalid : If the certificate is invalid and the profile is invalid, the app cannot be downloaded. If the certificate is invalid, you need to replace the valid certificate and upload it. If the certificate is valid, export the configuration file and upload it.
  2. No UDID is added to the App in Adhoc mode : If an app is packaged in Adhoc mode, the UDID of the device must be added to the certificate file (.mobileprovision file) when the application is packaged. Then the device can be installed properly.
  3. Packaging error : When exporting the iOS.ipA file, some developers choose the app-Store mode, which is only suitable for uploading the.ipa file to the Apple App Store, and cannot be installed by PGYER. If the.ipa file is exported in this way, when it is sent to the PGYER, the PGYER will display the App-Store version, which cannot be installed through the PGYER.

Why is the UDID added to the iOS App of Adhoc still not installed?

The developer can view the UDID details on the application management page to determine whether the UDID is in the list. If no, the certificate may not be updated. You are advised to upload it again.

For iOS apps published on PGYER, do they support APNs (Push)?

Supported. PGYER does not break any functionality of the existing App.

What developer account and certificate should I use to package my ipa when uploading my iOS app?

You can use any type of Apple developer account, and any type of certificate, and then package it through Xcode. As long as the certificate you use can generate the ipa installation package through Xcode normally.

Does PGYER support Swift for iOS?

Supported. PGYER perfectly supports the Swift app for iOS.

Why do I download an App instead of another app?

Due to the problems of the domestic mobile phone environment, this situation is generally more common on Android. In general, when downloading the App, please download users, when the system pops up safe download, high-speed download, ordinary download and other options, please do not choose high-speed download or safe download, but should directly choose ordinary download or local download.

If you choose local download and still download other applications, it may be caused by DNS hijacking on the network. It is recommended to change the network, such as disconnecting the Wi-fi and replacing it with cellular data.

What if my app is removed or my account is blocked?

In this case, there is usually an email notification. Complaints can be made by sending an email to review@pgyer.com according to the email prompt, or through the live chat window at the lower right corner of the PGYER website.
